There is no publicly available information to suggest that Rigathi Gachagua is the son of former Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi. Rigathi’s father was known as Nahashon Gachagua Reriani and his mother Martha Kirigo. He is the eighth born and a younger brother to the late, former Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua.

Rigathi Gachagua is a Kenyan politician who has served as a Member of Parliament for Mathira constituency in Nyeri County since 2013 before becoming the Deputy President in 2022 in a highly contested election. His deputy presidential position was a lucky one where many believe Kithure Kindiki Interior Cs was the best pick. Rigathi was still young in politics having served only 2 terms as member of Parliament and not any other post. His financial muscle was what attracted president William Ruto to appointing him.

He is known to speak with authority and direct like Moi and many believe that if given a chance he can be a dictator just like Daniel Moi. The two shares something in common apart from their look.
