Sportpesa May Remain Closed For Another Couple of Weeks.

Giant sports betting and gambling Sportpesa may remain shut for another couple of weeks. The company was granted a license to operate after it has been shut for years. Sportpesa was licensed for a second time over a month ago although it has not been operating fully. Sportpesa was banned from operating in Kenya after they were involved in Tax inflations. There were also claims that they were involved in money laundering. The child company of Sportpesa UK will remain closed after a conflict with its shareholders.  

Dissagreement Over Ksh26 Billion Deal

Sportpesa was operating under Pevans East Africa before moving to Milestone Africa. On Friday after CEO Ronald Karauri announced the deal some of the stakeholders said they were not involved. The allegation that one of the shareholders transferred a huge amount of money to an international bank. Paul Wanderi and Asenath Maina went to court to stop that deal. The two jointly own about 40% of the companies shares. The company will now remain shut until the issue is resolved.
