Argentina Football Legend Diego Maradona Dies At The Age Of 60.

Football legend Diego Maradona from Argentina has died at the age of 60. The attacking and midfielder suffered a heart attack at his home in Buenos Aires.  This comes after a successful brain surgery earlier in November. He was to be treated for alcohol dependency. Diego Maradona scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for the Argentina team. He was the captain of Argentina when they won the world cup in 1986. He scored the famous Hand of God” goal against England in the quarter-finals. In a social media post, the Argentina football association broke the news.

It’s deepest sorrow for the death of our legend You will always be in our hearts.”

Maradona Football Career Due to his successful football career, Maradona was elected the head coach for Argentina in 2008 but left in 2010 where he was beaten by Germany in the quarter-finals. Diego Maradona was once banned by the football federation for 15 months after testing positive for cocaine. He retired at the age of 37 years. He was playing for Argentina club Boca Juniors.
