Newly Launched Kikuyu Radio station, Kayu Fm is already giving top Kikuyu radio stations a run for their money. The radio station with a brand name very close to Kameme Kayu Ka Muingi was launched on April 2022. The station Kickstarted with higher gear after employing former Kameme Fm radio presenters. Kayu Fm started its programming on May 2022.

The radio station started by taking all radio presenters that were fired by media max Kameme fm. They include Veterans who started Kameme Fm, Moses Kanyira, Machangi, Penninah Muthoni alias PM Squared, Evans Wanyoike, Njogu Wa Njoroge, Shiru Digital among many others. Some of the most listened shows includes Kwaruka Show hosted by Njogu Wa Njoroge and Kayu book club hosted by Evans Wanyoike and Mwalimu Iribe Mwangi. Book club was very famous at Kameme Fm before it was discarded back in 2013.

The Radio Station is owned by Former Kameme fm and K24 Tv  Rose Kimotho. Kayu Fm frequency is 91.0 Fm Nairobi. The station have a very beautiful modern studio that only few stations have.
