Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa is the fastest man in Africa. He is a Kenyan sprinter focusing on 100m and 200m races. Omanyala is Africa’s 100m record holder (9.77s) and he is 8th fastest man in the planet. Ferdinand is aiming to become the world’s fastest man by breaking Usain bolt’s record. Omanyala is a Kenyan by birth and is married to one wife.

Omanyala birth and Early life.

Ferdinand Omanyala is Kenyan by birth and his both parents are Luhya. Luhya is a native Bantus speaking ethnic group found in Western Kenya in East Africa. Fred Omanyala was born in family of 5 brothers and was raised in Bungoma before relocating to Nairobi where he currently resides. Ferdinand was a playful kid and developed interested in sports after joining high school. He played Rugby due to his wide body where he participated in Safaricom’s U20 Rugby Series.

Omanyala Sporting Career

The Athlete started his career locally back on 2016 where he would win almost all of the competition he competed. His coach, Duncan Ayiemba discovered his talent and knew he was capable of participating internationally in 2017. He was selected to participate in Bahamas Olympics. He also participated in Tokyo Olympics where he also did well. In August 2017, together with his coach was banned from participating in any Olympics after he tested positive positive for prohibited substance. The Anti Doping Kenya Agency (ADKA) handed him a 14 months ban and his coach Duncan Ayiemba was banned for 2 years. Omanyara took that bann period to practice even harder. In 2018 he was shortlisted to participate in Olympics. Unfortunately he was not selected.

Medals and Records.

Omanyala has participated in several national and international Olympic. In 2022, he won the Kip Keino Classics in Nairobi. This race made him very popular where President Uhuru Kenyatta commended him for his sprinting prowess. He recorded a 9.77s to become Africa’s fastest man. In July 2022, he participated in USA Champion Olympics unfortunately he was kicked out in Semis. In July 3 Ferdinand Won gold for Kenya after 60years in 100m men race in commonwealth games.

He is married to Laventa whom he med back in 2016 when they were both participating in sports. The two blended very well and after meeting again in December 2016 the decided to move in together. The couple has been together for the last 5 years and are setto celebrate their 6th anniversary in December 2022.

After the starting gun shot, the two Ethiopians took the pace and Kipyegon was struggling to keep up with them. She was trailing behind. The two had widened the gap and many thought Kipyegon had lost it. She later catched up with them and during the final bell, Kipyegon marked her opponents and widen the gap. The Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay face showed frustration as she struggled to keep up with Kipyegon.

Football legend Diego Maradona from Argentina has died at the age of 60. The attacking and midfielder suffered a heart attack at his home in Buenos Aires.  This comes after a successful brain surgery earlier in November. He was to be treated for alcohol dependency. Diego Maradona scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for the Argentina team. He was the captain of Argentina when they won the world cup in 1986. He scored the famous Hand of God” goal against England in the quarter-finals. In a social media post, the Argentina football association broke the news.

Maradona Football Career Due to his successful football career, Maradona was elected the head coach for Argentina in 2008 but left in 2010 where he was beaten by Germany in the quarter-finals. Is Sportpesa Back In Kenya?

The answer to your question is yes. Sportpesa has now resumed its operations here in Kenya after 16 months of shutdown. Sportpesa was banned and kicked out of Kenya betting market after a conflict with the Kenya Revenue Authority.  This is after they were accused of evading tax and money laundry. However, they now have good news for their long waiting customers after they were licensed to operate.

Some Of The features Yet To Resume SportPesa is yet to restore some of its features. A good example is the jackpots. There were also claims that they were involved in money laundering. The child company of Sportpesa UK will remain closed after a conflict with its shareholders.  

Dissagreement Over Ksh26 Billion Deal

Sportpesa was operating under Pevans East Africa before moving to Milestone Africa. On Friday after CEO Ronald Karauri announced the deal some of the stakeholders said they were not involved. The allegation that one of the shareholders transferred a huge amount of money to an international bank. Paul Wanderi and Asenath Maina went to court to stop that deal. The two jointly own about 40% of the companies shares. The company will now remain shut until the issue is resolved.
