Melissa Ng’ania is a young female lawyer making headlines in Kenyan Law industry after her assignments in the presidential election petitions proceedings at the supreme court of Kenya. Melissa who is only 38 (2022) is a masters degree holder from Kenya school if law and currently the youngest counsel at the high court and the supreme of Kenya. Ng’ania is representing William Ruto in the supreme court’s election petition. Melissa Ng’ania became a talk of the town after she was spotted among President Uhuru Kenyatta’s legal team that was representing him in 2017 general Election petition against former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga.

Lawyer Melisa was born in 1980 and she is the last born in a family of 6. She was born in Mt. Elegon region Saboat community that borders Kenya and Uganda. She was raised in Kitale town, Trans Nzoia where she attended her primary school and later proceeded to Tororo High school base in Uganda where she did her “O” level. She later attended Makerere University and did a Bachelor of Law ( LLB). After returning to Kenya, She joined Kenya School of Law where she did her Master’s Degree. She was admitted to the bar on 2011. She has been practicing law for the last 12 years. Melissa has thrived in a male dominated industry. The lawyer replaced Kethi Kilonzo.

5 counties have now been put under lock-down. These includes Nairobi, Kajiado, Nakuru, Machakos and Kiambu. This will be effective from Saturday 27th 2020. The cessation of movement must be strictly adhered to and only essential services will be excepted. The five counties is said to be hot spots for Covid-19 infections and has reported the highest cases since third wave. The country has recorded the highest cases since Corona Virus hit the country in March 2020. The curfew has however been moved from 10 pm to 8 pm. Eateries and alcohol selling point has been banned also. Public gatherings such as Funerals and wedding has been limited to 30 members and should last for a maximum of 1 hour.

Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli is dead. The breaking news reaching us is that the president has passed on in Dar e Salam hospital in the capital of Tanzania.The president has been ailing since last month although the government has been denying it. Magufuli is said to have been suffering from a heart attack. The president was not seen in public activities since February 27th, 2021. He died while receiving treatment on 17th March 2021. On Monday 15th Tanzania’s vice president claimed that the president was fine and there was nothing to worry about.

President John Magufuli Is Dead.
Earlier in March President Magufuli is said to have contracted Coronavirus and was taken to Nairobi Hospital in Nairobi for treatment. He was later transferred to India for further treatment according to our sources. However, the government has been continuously denying the claims that he has been in Hospital. They even went ahead to say that he was in his office working. Tanzanians knew something was wrong but they remained silent. They were afraid they would be arrested. Magufuli is said to have died of a heart attack.Tanzania paused publishing Coronavirus cases in April last year. they have then been claiming there was no Coronavirus in their country. They never imposed any measure to control the virus not even wearing a face mask. The country has however witnessed prominent government officials die of the virus lately.
A moment of sadness is being experienced in Tanzania as their president’s whereabouts are still unknown. President Magufuli is said to have contracted Corona Virus last month. he has now been missing in all public functions for almost one month now. Earlier last week he was admitted to Nairobi Hospital in Kenya. He was then said to have been transferred to India for more treatments. Opposition leader Tundu Lissu earlier demanded to know where the president was. Tanzanian president earlier claimed there was no coronavirus in their country and they even stopped updating their cases in April 2020.

The man used his phone to spread the fake news of president Magufuli’s death. No media company in the country has published any news regarding The head of state whereabout. The prime minister of Tanzania earlier claimed that the president was in his office working. The country has been badly hit by coronavirus which has led to WHO intervention. Prominent people in the country have succumbed to the noble virus.
UDA party Kiamokama ward Mca aspirant Moses Nyandusi Nyakeremba was today March 4 arrested by police. Moses was arrested together with businessman Don Bosco Gichana in the morning. The Kiamokama by-election has faced chaos as UDA supporters wanted the two released as soon as possible. Kiamokama by-election in Kisii county was after MCA Kennedy Mainyawho was elected under the ODM party died in November 2020. Moses Nyandusi vied for the same position in the 2017 election unsuccessfully. Moses was arrested after allegations that he was bribing voters. There is over 10,000 registered voter in that ward. ODM party is trying their best to retain the ward through their candidate Malack Matara.
A man found himself in court after writing a threatening post on his Facebook page. Simon Muchiri, 22 years old Kenyan said he would shoot president Uhuru Kenyatta direct in the heart if given a gun. According to the prosecutor the young man claimed he would eliminate the president. However, his lawyer defended him saying that he is just a youngster and that was his first crime. He was later released on a cash bail of Ksh 200,000. This is no the first time people found themself in court for insulting the president online. In 2013 a man went into hiding after writing all kinds of insults about President Uhuru on his Facebook page. People have taken this for the norm and are now insulting not only the president but also prominent government officials online. The government has always been looking for the best way to regulate social media platforms with some countries blocking Facebook and Whatsapp completely.

In 2014 Embakasi North member of Parliament Babu Owino publicly insulted president Uhuru Kenyatta together with his mother. The case went up to court but he was released on bail. This is a warning that all Kenyans should be very careful posting on their online social media.
Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata has hinted that he will perform another Survey in Mt. Kenya region to determine the popularity of the BBI bill. Irungu Kang’ata is the former senate majority whip who was replaced by Kiambu senator Kimani Wa Matangi. Kang’ata found himself between a rock and a hard place after he wrote a letter to the president regarding BBI. Kang’ata in his letter to the president which passed through the media first claimed that the bill was very unpopular among the central region people. He now claims that he will conduct another survey to determine the current situation in the region. This comes just a few days after all the counties from the region passed the bill unanimously. According to Kang’ata the survey he conducted was only for the specified time and people might have been convinced otherwise.

Muranga’a county has become the latest county to unanimously pass the BBI bill. The 53 MCA’s vote yes for the bill. This comes barely 2 months after Murang’a and former senate majority whip Irungu Kangata wrote a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta claiming the Bill is unpopular in the region. The bill now needs 5 more counties to pass. The counties are projected to finish voting today. The president and opposition leader-backed bill will now go to public participation where Kenyans will vote.
Tanga tanga members and allies to deputy president Willam Ruto today on 20th were arrested at Bahati Nakuru. Susan Kihika, Kimani Ngunjiri Mohammed Ali, and John Kiarie were conducting their campaigns at Nakuru.
